Painting night!

Ever since I went to my first painting night I have been obsessed!  It’s such a fun activity to do with friends, or if you’re traveling and have a free evening and want to do something different.  If you do this on a trip though, keep in mind the size of the painting you will be making and plan accordingly when packing to bring it home with you :)

I have done 3 different painting nights (so far), and it’s true what they say, you don’t need to be good at painting to do it, and in the end everyone’s paintings looked great.  Each venue was a little different.  One was linked to a restaurant, and waiters would take your order while you were painting and bring it to you.  Another had a bar you could order from at any point during the class, and the other was a “bring your own” place where you could bring drinks and snacks.

The classes were between 2-3 hours long.  I preferred the longer time frame, as I found it a bit more relaxing, but we were able to finish our paintings in the time span provided for all of the classes.

There are a lot of other art/craft type classes that I’ve been interested in trying, hopefully soon!

There are a lot of places that host painting nights, so a quick internet search will show you which ones are near you!
